So I started this thread to talk about the fairness of attacking a person or product from behind an assumed identity. That's what I wanted to talk about here. Because that's what this site has turned into.
Free speech carries with it a certain amount of responsibility. That's why newspapers require a person to identify themselves when writing to the editor. It seems OK to me to make posts anonymously if they relate to general sailing topics. Those types of postings are not controversial. But when someone has an agenda and attacks someone or someone's boat or product, they should have the courage to identify themselves.
Gino, all you've given is a first name, a city, and what kind of boat. Alex has provided you with that same info, if not in a post aimed directly at you, in many of his posts here on AS. Yet you continue to call him a liar. You have 8 post here, and have met no one in person. Alex has met numerous members here in person, and has talked to numerous more on the phone. We know without a doubt who he is, yet you still call him a liar and whine about free speech. Would you like some cheese with that?
